Falling in Love with Suede
Wearing anything suede can be considered luxury but that doesn’t mean it can’t be affordable. I’ve been on the hunt for a camel/tan addition to my closet for quite sometime now but nothing really struck my eye until I came across this biker jacket. My classic leather biker jacket is a staple in my closet. It goes with almost everything and elevates my outfit from 0 to100 real quick. Since a biker jacket is an easy addition to any outfit, I wanted to invest in another one to switch things up!
If you know me by now, you know that my closet solely consists of neutrals with a few statement jackets. Prior to my trip to New York City, I made a quick stop at my go-to store: Zara to pick out a few pieces for the trip. Upon arrival my eyes went straight to this camel biker jacket. It was meant to be. The fabric looks luxe and the price didn’t hurt my bank account! It was a win- win situation.
How to wear a brown suede jacket
Suede jackets are a versatile piece that can take your outfit from day to night in a breeze. The best looks for suede tend to be ones that are the most simple. In this case, I went for an all black look with a turtle neck t-shirt, skinny jeans and topped it off with a pair of Chelsea boots (if boots aren’t your thing, I’d recommend white sneakers or high tops!) plus a few accessories.
Tip: If you’re looking to steer away from keeping it simple, this look can also be switched up with a white printed t-shirt, light ripped denims and sneakers or boots. Either way, the jacket does all the talking so you don’t have to.
Who said that only women could enjoy jewelry and accessories? When it comes down to accessories, I usually slap on a watch on my wrist and call it a day but occasionally I like to splurge. Last year I invested in a leather Miansai bracelet with a gold hook that pairs really well with my go-to black and gold minimal timepiece from Medium Watches. To break up the leather on leather, I added a gold cuff from Oak + Fort and to tie everything together I paired the look with a basic clutch from Marc Jacobs. Can you tell I love the combination of black + gold?
It’s safe to say I’ll be rocking this suede biker jacket more often over Spring/Summer.
